Ball park estimates are exactly that. Every restoration job, like every painting, is unique. Removal of dark and dirty varnish can disguise a host of unforseen problems. Our site contains a range of pages dedicated to our techniques, practice and problems involved in the restoration of either oil or acryllic paintings on canvas or wooden supports.
If you are submitting work for an estimate please include in your email, or by post, at least three images of:
- The whole painting.
- Close ups of any damage or unusual surface.
- An image of the reverse to show any damage to the stretches etc.
- The actual size of the painting.
